The roller press type JPR is designed to press the joints of cloth and paper wide belts. Even though ideal to process wide belts, this machine can also press narrow belts. Joining is made directly on the pressing beam. A vacuum system helps the operator to join the belts. The JPR machine is indicated for converters with medium productions.

Technical Data

  • Pneumatic pressure, adjustable, pressing force 1200 daN at 6 bar
  • For joints up to 1,750 mm length at 90°
  • Press bar heating up to 80 °C with thermostat
  • Width of pressing roller is 33 mm
  • Possibility to perform only double pressing stroke
  • Automatic front locking device
  • Lower pressing bar provided with vacuum system to steady the belt
  • Variable speed drive 0.2 to 0.6 m/sec
  • Safety bars along both sides

Working Cycle

The operator inserts the first belt lap and, by means of the foot-switch, operates the vacuum system to hold the belt in place. The second lap is then inserted and joined, the operator presses another foot-switch and the pressing cycle starts automatically: the upper pressing bar closes and locks, the pressing roll moves forward and back, and after that the upper pressing bar opens again.
